The ABCs of My Beliefs

I believe'...

A... the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible Word of God (II Pet. 1:21, II Tim. 3:16-17).

B... the Godhead consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (11 Cor. 13:14), Three in One and One in Three.

C... in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (I Tim. 3: 16). We acknowledge the lordship of Jesus Christ over all things in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Phil. 2:9-10).

D... man fell by transgression from a state of righteousness and holiness, in which he was first created, into a state of death in trespasses and sin, in which he is held as a slave of sin until he is delivered by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:12-21 ).

E... in salvation through the redeeming blood of Christ by repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ, and confession of His lordship (Heb. 9:22, Rom. 10:9-10:13).

F... in Water Baptism by immersion for those who have repented and believed, burying the sin nature, which results in cutting off (heart circumcision) the slave relationship of sin (Rom. 6:1-6, Col. 2:11-13).

G... in sanctification and holiness of heart and the overcoming life as Scriptural requirements for the Bride of Christ (Eph. 5:25-27).

H... in the keeping power of God (Jude 24)

I..."in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the consequence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4,10:46, 19:6), in the present ministry of the Spirit in and through the believer as manifest in the five ministries as they are being restored in endtime revival (Eph, 4'11 ), in the gifts of the Spirit (I Cor. 12:8-11) and the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23).

J... that divine healing is obtained on the basis of the Atonement (I Pet. 2:24).

K... in evangelistic and missionary fervor and endeavor (Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15-18).

L... the true church is One body of many members consisting of "born-again" Christians regardless of church affiliation, and that we as individuals become members of that Body through the power of the Spirit; and so, we have fellowship one with another (I Cor. 12:14-24, Eph. 2:13-22, 4:3-6)

M... in the practice of observing the Lord's Supper regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures (Luke 22:19-20, I Cor. 11:23-24).

N... in the dedication of little children as observed in the Scriptures (Matt. 19:13-15).

O... in tithing as taught in the Scriptures (Matt. 23:23, Mal. 3:10).

P... in Christ's imminent personal return in power and great glory, in His millenial reign, and in His everlasting dominion (Acts 1:11, Rev. 2:4, Dan. 7:14).

Q... in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment (John 5:28-29, Rev. 20:15).
